The Rundown

Nine weeks after an overtime loss at Horn Lake, defending state 2A boys basketball champion Coahoma County fell 69-58 to Jackson’s Forest Hill high school in a tournament game at Pontotoc on January 5th.  Sophomore Jai’sheldon Yates scored 20 points in the Red Panther loss.  Coahoma County is still undefeated in division play and faces O’Bannon at Greenville on Friday night.

 

Meanwhile the Coahoma County girls, who haven’t lost since December 14th to Leland, defeated Belmont 47 37 on Saturday.  The 13-and-2 girls also play O’Bannon on Friday.
