The Greenwood Bulldogs won their sixth straight district championship Friday night, defeating the Clarksdale Wildcats 21-14 in overtime. Greenwood scored on their opening possession wiht a 70 yard touchdown pass, but Clarksdale immediately answered and scored on successive possesions to take a 14-7 lead by halftime. Senior quarterback Cameron Matthews scored all of Clarksdale's points with two touchdowns and a 2-point conversion. The Bulldogs tied the score with 8 minutes left to play and scored on the first play of overtime to take a 21-14 lead while the Wildcats were unable to score in overtime. Clarksdale will host a first-round playoff game next Friday against Itawamba Agricultural, the number 3 seed from region 2.
