More than 80 youths age 6-13 attended this a youth football camp the week of July 23, 2018 at Coahoma Community College and met former Oklahoma player Marcus Dupree. A native of Philadelphia, Mississippi, Dupree was a second-team All American with 224 carries, 1789 yards and 15 touchdowns while playing for the Sooners. His mother is also a graduate of Coahoma Community College.
Dupree was featured in the ESPN docuseries “30 for 30”: ‘The Best That Never Was.’ and told campers to "make the right choices and be patient in the process. You have to be disciplined throughout life. If you don’t have discipline, you can’t make it.”
It was the first of many football camps that the Fatherhood Program of Families First Mississippi and Coach Marcus Dent plan to put on at Coahoma Community College.
