Juke Joint Festival 5k & 8k run & walk
Registration for the run/walk begins at 7AM at the Greyhound Bus Station, Third and Issaquena in downtown Clarksdale. Pre-registration through April 5 is $20, $30 April 6 through race day. Juke Joint Festival parade
Bring your favorite instrument and the family and dress up to partcipate! There'll be marching bands, jugglers, unicycles and more! Line up at Regions Bank 211 East Second Street.
Juke Joint Festival Art Exhibit & writing contest
The community art exhibit features works from local elementary, junior high, high school and college students and runs from 10AM to 5PM at 243 Delta Avenue. Also on display will be winning essays, narratives and poems about the blues.
Children's train rides and petting zoo
Kids can pet and feed the animals and ride the train at the old train station, across from the Dutch Oven restaurant on Issaquena.
Rock wall climb & moon bounce
The 200 block of Yazoo Avenue will be closed for these events.
Ducks Unlimted events, water balls & bungee jump
Ducks Unlimited presents youth archery shooting, a "laser shot" interactive hunting game, fishing pole casting, a gun raffle and silent auction.
You can also get inside a ball and walk on water, or enjoy the bungee jump! The 300 block of John Lee Hooker Lane (in front of CB&S Bank) will be closed for these events.
Students in the 7th to 12th grade may participate in a songwriting workshop at Griot Arts, 278 Sunflower Avenue on April 12th at 10:30AM. No signup is necessary.
"Beatiful Music All Around Us"
The public is invited to view Stephen Wade's multimedia presentation "The Beautiful Music All Around Us" at the Delta Blues Museum beginning at 10:30AM. It features the Coahoma county scholarship of John Work and music of Bozie Sturdivant; a book signing will follow. For more information call (662) 627-6820.
Birdsong Historic Tours of Clarksdale
Clarksdale historian Robert Birdsong presents historic and blues tours. One seat on the bus is included with your $15 Juke Joint wrist band. Tours leave from behind the Greyhound Bus Station at 11AM, 12:30PM, 2:00PM, 3:30PM and 5:00PM. For more information call (662) 624-6051.
Dancing Divas student performances
Dance students from Dancing Divas will perform on the sidewalk outside the studio at 256 Delta Avenue from 11AM to 2PM on April 12th.
Watch Robinson's Racing Pigs! There will be three races per show at every hour from 11AM to 4PM. The 300 block of John Lee Hooker Lane (in front of CB&S Bank) will be closed for these events.
Mills family jugglers
The Mills family jugglers will perform on the Delta Blues Museum stage April 12th at 11:30AM and 1:00PM. See jugglng and unicycles...this is a free event.

Cutrer Mansion tours
Jen Waller, director of the Coahoma County Higher Education Center, will conduct a guided tour of the mansion that inspired the works of Tennessee Williams at 3:15PM on April 11th & 12th. Doors will remain open from 3 to 5PM; the mansion is located at 109 Clark Street in Clarksdale.
